Friday's Thoughts

It's been a good week. The second grand daughter has spent the week with us while her mom and older sister are at church camp. Em is eight and absolutely a joy to have around.

I had to travel out of town last night. Got back this afternoon, so I'm a little tired around the edges.

I'm in chapters 6 & 7 of my study of the book of Revelation. Like all of God's Word, it is a source of joy, hope, strength, and comfort.

I have had some wonderful photo opportunities this past week. You can see a couple of them in my recent posts. I have a couple of more coming up next week. Stay tuned for Ruby Tuesday and Wordless Wednesday.

My friend with Lou Gehrig's disease is not doing well. He is down to 110 lbs. Last year he was a healthy 195. He is ready to go home to the Lord. His family is prepared as well. I am going to miss him. I guess that's all I've got for now. It is Friday and time for an inspirational song. Thinking about my friend and the difficult journey that he has still ahead of him, I know that when everything looks dark, and there appears to be little hope, Jesus Loves Me! As a Christian, our hope is not here. Our joy is not here. Our security is not here. In John 14:2-3, Christ said, "In My Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a pace for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. Our hope is not here, nor is our home. My friend is going to a glorious place because he has accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. It is our only hope! That hope was made possible because "Jesus Loves Me." The simplest of messages in a simple hymn. Enjoy.

My mother passed away with ALS. It's an awful disease. It was a horrific way to die and watching her die was even harder I think.

Get some rest and have a great weekend. Big hug. :)

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. MDA has been my main charity since I was about 6 years old.

Time is running out for so many who suffer from neuro-muscular diseases. Cures are so close.

Sounds like and okay week... and hopefully, your friend will be okay... and although ALS can only end one way, it is a far better place which your friend is going to no doubt.

The more I learn about natural cures, the more hope I have that people can overcome potentially life threatening diseases. I don't know for certain if the book would help your friend, but perhaps he should read Kevin Trudeau's Natural Cures "They" Don't want you to know about.

It is an eye opening book and has a ton of proven cures for problems that the medical profession considers incurable. What a blessing it would be if he was able to turn it around and rejoin life until it was over.

I will ever cling to the hope that comes from knowing that God chooses life, and that more abundantly
Blessings
