Thirteen Reasons I Celebrate Christmas
I celebrate Christmas because of the birth of the promised Savior. I celebrate because God is good, faithful and true. One thing about truth, I does not require you to believe it in order for it to be true. Truth is truth, whether you believe it or not.
Please consider carefully reason number eleven.
1. "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is Given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
2. "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."
Luke 2:11
3. " And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, as on earth peace, goodwill toward men." Luke 2:13-14
4. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God." John 1:1
5. "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." John 1:3
6. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
7. "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believe in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life." John 5:24
8. And Jesus said to them " I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst." John 6:35
9. "I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world." John 6:51
10. "My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. My Father and I are one." John 10:27-30
11. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14.6
12. "In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:2-3
13: Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea....And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be nor more pain, for the former things have passed away.

13 Extraordinary Winter scenes
Amen and amen. What a great list and wonderful testament to the reason we celebrate, for truly that is the Good News of the Gospel of Peace! John 5:24 struck me especially as I was reading them, and I rejoiced that in Christ we no longer need to fear judgment. What a wonderful freedom that offers the believer! And what a reason to build our relationship with Christ.
Thanks for visiting Miller Manor. I loved your comment, and I suggest you do both--in whichever order you like! :-)

You're clearly into the true meaning of Christmas, so I know you'll enjoy your holiday! (And thanks for visiting my TT)
What a lovely list of Bible verses to remind us all the real meaning of Christmas. I've printed a copy to keep handy, so thank you very much.
