1. You own more fishing rods than clean changes of underwear. 2. Your truck and boat are color coordinated, but your living room furniture isn't. 3. If you sold your boat and fishing tackle, you could move out of that double-wide trailer. 4. You have a sunglasses tan line. 5. You've ever missed work to attend a BassMaster or FLW weigh-in. 6. All of your credit cards are tied to Outdoor Store rewards programs. 7. You buy plastic worms by the pound. 8. The only shirts in your wardrobe with collars have embroidered patches from fishing tackle sponsors on them. 9. Your boat's motor has a higher horsepower rating than your wife's car. 10. Your investment in fishing tackle would put your first child through college. 11. Your truck and boat payment are larger than your home mortgage payment. 12. Losing your tackle box will reduce your net worth by 25% 13. You can cast a spinner bait into a hula hoop at 50' by the light of the moon, but you can't hit the toilet at point blank range in broad daylight. |

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) -- Indonesia's environment minister said Tuesday that global warming was to blame after the capital of Jakarta was partially flooded, forcing thousands of people to flee homes and cutting off a highway to the international airport.
Can we just stop blaming every natural disaster on global warming. The last time I checked, flooding, homeless, and helpless Indonesians occurs about every 3-5 years and it's been going on as long as I can remember. "An Inconvenient Truth" has become a royal pain in the rear.

If you ever have a reason to be in Jasper, Alabama, you gotta eat at Jim 'N Nicks Bar-B-Que!
This is quite possibly the best pulled pork I have ever had. The beef brisket is good too, but the pork is outrageous. Their standard BBQ sauce is a little on the vinegar side, but I like it. They also have a habanero pepper BBQ sauce that you just need to stay away from. It will water your eyes, clear your sinuses, and keep you from tasting anything for about an hour. I mixed a little of it with the standard sauce and found the right mix of heat and spice.

I love technology. I hate when it doesn't work! I love technology, but I am far from tech smart.
I'm not even sure how to customize this blog, so I just use the template and add a few photos from time to time. I've seen blogs with great graphics and wonderful backgrounds, but I can only view from a far with envy. I am graphic oriented, I just don't know how to do this in a blog.
Anyway, back to the real reason for this post.
I am currently sitting in a hotel room in Decatur Alabama on a business trip. I flew into Birmingham, got my rental car, hooked up my laptop with Streets & Trips and GPS unit. The GPS didn't work. Did I mention that I hate when technology doesn't work? The computer wouldn't recognize the com port that the GPS was connected to, so I was relegated to actually looking up information on a paper map. I hate it when that happens. I guess I should be troubleshooting the problem instead of posting this mini-rant, but what fun is in that? Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

1. I am thankful for the God of all creation who loved me enough to provide a plan for my salvation that I might spend an eternity in a place that that He has prepared for me.
