She Liked the Roses!

My wife was out of the office yesterday when I arrived with the roses, so I left them on her desk. She loved them. Here are the pics of them and yes, I did the arrangement myself, just like I said I would.
Let's kill two birds with one stone while we have these photos and talk a little PhotoShop Elements. The first is straight out of the camera. The second photo has been cropped and a little "Auto Enhance" added via PS Elements. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I completed the second online PS Elements course and scored a 93 on my final. Whoohooo!!!

Great job on the flowers. Beautiful. I'm sure your wife did love them. Who wouldn't. I also love the Photoshop work and congratulations on such a high score. Have a great day. :)

Your photos are exquisite, Driller! Is that last one a close crop or did you take a close up (maybe macro)? :D Your courses are certainly worth it!

Teach: The last pic is just a close up. I used my telephoto for it.
Note:
I am using a Nikon D80 digital SLR with an 18-135mm telephoto lens. For these pics I also used the Nikon SB600 flash and bounced it in order to eliminate any harsh shadow behind the subject.

Driller, thanks for commenting at my blog about your cameras and how you took the pix of the roses. I agree with Vinny - you might have a second career there. Also thanks for your comment on my "What if" meme - I agree photography would be important...

Never met a woman yet who doesn't like roses. Those are nice!

Julied: The color is similar to the ones at our wedding.

Sandee: Thank you, I just wish I had more time to explore PSE and maybe graduate to full blown PhotoShop.

Bond: No, I could never be a florist. My bride is a closet pro and party planning and decorating, including flower arrangements.

Jell: Thank you very much.

Travis: Yes, they all like roses, but they like them better if you can actually tie the color to an event.
